Job Description

Paris Baguette, a renowned bakery and café brand known for its commitment to freshly baked, high-quality French pastries and breads, is excited to announce the grand opening of a new location in Thousand Oaks scheduled for May 2026. Established as a leader in the bakery industry, Paris Baguette combines traditional baking mastery with innovative flavors and techniques to create a unique café experience for customers. Every day at Paris Baguette, joy is baked fresh as the team works diligently to craft golden croissants, fluffy donuts, rich breads, and a variety of desserts that delight the senses and bring communities together. The establishment is recognized for fostering a vibrant work environment that encourages passion for baking, creativity, continuous learning, and a collaborative spirit among its team members. As part of this upcoming expansion, Paris Baguette is offering an exciting employment opportunity to passionate bakers and aspiring lead bakers who are eager to be part of a dedicated team that values quality, precision, and customer satisfaction.

The role at Paris Baguette is designed for individuals who are not only skilled in baking but who also embody the company’s mission to deliver expertly crafted baked goods to every neighborhood. The position opens with a special Lead Training Program beginning in April, which is an intensive 4-week immersive training experience that prepares candidates to master signature recipes, specialized techniques, and adhere to stringent brand standards before the opening day. This unique program is an excellent platform for bakers who want to refine their craft and gain leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced bakery environment. Candidates who do not move forward as Lead Bakers still have the opportunity to join the team as Bakers closer to the grand opening date. The responsibilities of the role include preparing and baking a wide array of bread, pastries, donuts, and desserts according to precise specifications and schedules. The role requires safe operation of various bakery equipment such as ovens, dough conditioners, and fryers, in addition to handling detailed prep tasks including scaling, shaping, topping, and finishing baked goods to perfection. Attention to detail is paramount, with the need to monitor bake times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure consistent high quality. Cleanliness, organization, and food safety practices are critical components of the daily routine, supported by rotating and restocking ingredients with a keen eye for freshness. The position also involves maintaining production logs, tracking waste, and updating usage sheets to optimize bakery operations. Collaboration is key, as the baker supports team goals with flexibility and urgency, helps train new bakers in recipes and methods, and promptly flags any equipment or supply issues to management. This opportunity not only promises competitive hourly pay but also a range of sweet benefits, making it ideal for those who are passionate about baking and eager to grow their careers in a supportive, forward-thinking company that celebrates excellence and community engagement.
