Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Experience as a baker or pastry chef
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Understanding of food safety practices
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Team spirit with a customer-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work early morning shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a baker, pastry chef or similar role
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
  • Understanding of food safety practices
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Team spirit with a customer-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work early morning shifts

Job Duties

  • Open the bakery early in the morning
  • Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
  • Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
  • Prepare, produce and bake a variety of Hispanic breads and pastries
  • Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
  • Recommend recipes to renew our menu and attract more customers
  • Track food supplies and place orders as needed
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
