Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role in a restaurant or bakery environment
- solid understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- ability to follow recipes accurately and produce consistent results
- creativity and passion for baking and desserts
- excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- attention to detail, especially in presentation and quality control
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- formal training or certification in baking or pastry arts
- experience with gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty baked goods
- previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting

Job Duties
- Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- measure and mix ingredients to create doughs, batters, and other preparations
- ensure all products are baked to perfection, with attention to texture, flavor, and presentation
- monitor inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, and communicate needs to the kitchen manager
- maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with food safety regulations
- decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glaze, or other decorative touches as needed
- collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods for service
- stay up to date on baking trends and techniques to bring new ideas to the menu
- ensure all items are consistently made to meet or exceed guest expectations
