Eurest is currently hiring for a full-time Baker position at their facility located at RTX - 1151 E Hermans Road, Building 801, Tucson, AZ 85756. This position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, with no night or weekend shifts required. The fixed pay rate for this role is $18.20 per hour. The role’s primary responsibility involves preparing baked goods in accordance with established recipes and production specifications, with an emphasis on par-baking (90%) and scratch baking (10%).

As a Baker at Eurest, you will play a critical role in ensuring that a variety of baked goods such as breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries are produced to meet production and catering demands. Your work supports the overall quality and presentation of the products, ensuring portion control and proper serving temperatures. Attention to sanitation and safety will be paramount as you will maintain the cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and display units while adhering to both corporate and OSHA food safety standards. You will be responsible not only for production but also for record-keeping regarding waste, product shortages, and supply levels, notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.

This role requires the ability to work efficiently and calmly to meet peak production service demands and provide exceptional customer service by resolving complaints and communicating any issues to supervisors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of baking or food production experience
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • ability to perform 90% par-baking and 10% scratch baking tasks
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • capable of standing for extended periods
  • willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assists with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
  • relays relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
  • consistently exhibits the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • checks to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
  • completes shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards
  • performs other duties as assigned
