Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable education and experience combination
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work well in a team
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- Adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Current Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- Exhibit good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Capable of answering phones and handling special orders
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery
- Competent in using knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for continuous periods and transfer items up to 40 lbs safely
Job Duties
- Assist bakery manager in preparing and baking bakery products
- Package, price, and merchandise baked goods
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in bakery and storage areas
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery items
- Examine bakery product rotation and discard outdated products
- Receive, inspect, and log bakery shipments for quality and accuracy
- Answer customer inquiries and take special orders
