Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the golden rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale by working in a style that is respectful, supportive and totally team oriented
- Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise and check and verify vendor invoices
- Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated in accordance with company policy using the first in, first out method
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling damaged goods
- Take stock to storage or shelf areas
- Prepare all baking mixtures in accordance with company procedures and recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Load and unload ovens and know the proper temperatures and duration to bake products
- Operate mixer and write on cakes or prepare product to meet customer specifications
- Adhere to all health and civil code regulations including safety, health and packaging requirements
- Practice proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance and observe company dress code with approved hat or hair net
- Keep display cases, cooler and freezer organized and clean
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving products or using equipment
- Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest cost supply
- Promote items on public address system
- Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting or unauthorized mark downs
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
