Job Description

Dunkin' is a renowned global company with a legacy dating back to 1950. Originally founded as America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, Dunkin' has cultivated a profound presence within the restaurant and quick-service food industry. Headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, Dunkin' operates more than 13,100 restaurants across 41 countries worldwide. As part of the Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc., the brand has carved out a dominant position, particularly in the coffee market where it has held the number one ranking for customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for 14 consecutive years. Known for a wide variety of hot, decaf, and flavored coffees, alongside delicious baked goods such as donuts, bagels, muffins, and croissants, Dunkin' consistently strives to deliver quality products coupled with outstanding customer experiences.

The role of BOS Baker at Dunkin' is a crucial position focused on production for the restaurant, involving the preparation of various baked goods, including donuts, munchkins, muffins, croissants, bagels, and other necessary prep products. This job is an overnight position, generally from 8pm to 5am, requiring an individual capable of working independently to meet high production standards and maintain efficient operations. The baker plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all production areas, from ovens and production equipment to freezers, floors, walls, and bakery case setups, are meticulously maintained. Strict adherence to food safety standards, including date marking and product labeling, forms a fundamental part of the responsibilities.

A successful candidate will embody qualities such as responsibility, punctuality, self-motivation, cleanliness, and organization. The position also involves donut finisher duties that include filling and frosting donuts, restocking the donut case during peak morning hours, and thorough cleaning of the workstation at the end of shifts. Physical requirements of this role include hearing, speaking, seeing, carrying, bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and the ability to stand for extensive periods of 4 to 8 hours. The ability to operate restaurant equipment is necessary, with minimum age requirements potentially applicable. Working collaboratively and respectfully with team members, responding positively to coaching and feedback, effectively communicating, and executing multiple tasks are essential soft skills expected from the baker.

Following brand standards, recipes, systems, safety protocols, sanitation guidelines, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws is mandatory. Furthermore, the baker must maintain cleanliness and neatness in the work environment, demonstrate resilience under pressure, and consistently contribute to the efficient operation of the bakery and restaurant.

Dunkin' offers competitive pay ranging from $12 to $15 per hour, inclusive of bonus pay. Employment types available for this role include both full-time and part-time options. The company emphasizes supportive benefits like flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs, paid on-the-job training, substantial growth opportunities with a promotion-from-within culture, free meals, employee discounts, medical benefits, and a 401k plan with employer match. An employee referral program is available, offering up to $100 cash bonuses. This role demands reliable, motivated individuals seeking to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a respected market leader in the food service industry.
