Job Description

NHC Healthcare Franklin is part of a reputable national healthcare organization committed to providing exceptional senior care and quality services since 1971. Focused on integrity and honesty, NHC has established itself as a leader in the senior healthcare industry, delivering compassionate care tailored to the needs of geriatric patients and others requiring healthcare support. As a community-focused employer, NHC Healthcare offers a secure and supportive work environment, making a real difference in the lives of its patients and residents every day.

The company seeks a dedicated Baker to join the Food and Nutrition Services/Dietary team in Dickson, TN. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about foodservice and enjoy contributing to the well-being of healthcare patients. The Baker will work alongside a team consisting of a Chef and Registered Dietitians to ensure the preparation, production, and service of high-quality food products. The work schedule is 8 am to 4 pm, avoiding late-night shifts and the hassle of driving in Nashville traffic, which makes this position especially attractive for work-life balance. The pay range is $15 to $18 per hour, depending on experience, reflecting a competitive and fair compensation for this role.

This position not only caters to those looking for steady employment but also provides growth and training opportunities such as basic and advanced culinary training, ServSafe Manager courses paid by the company, and tuition reimbursement programs, including pathways to becoming a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM). Employees in this role will find a fun, fast-paced work environment that encourages professional development and internal promotion.

In addition to personal and career growth, NHC Healthcare Franklin offers a comprehensive employee benefits package that supports health, financial wellness, and work-life balance. This includes health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, a health savings account funded annually by the company, a 401K option with company matching, and flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles. Employees are also treated to free meals per shift and free uniforms, with early and same-day pay available through the Onshift Wallet program.

The Baker will be expected to maintain high standards of quality food preparation and service, work effectively with geriatric patients, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Reliability, energy, and a willingness to learn are key traits that will support success in this role. Working at NHC Healthcare Franklin means being part of a team that values each member’s contributions and fosters a positive workplace culture dedicated to serving the community with care and professionalism.
