This role involves hands-on preparation of artisan rye breads, rolls, laminated dough pastries, and more, emphasizing long fermentation processes and traditional techniques. Job Requirements
- completion of a culinary school program or apprenticeship preferred
- 0-3 years of professional baking experience preferred
- experience with Danish or Scandinavian baking methods is a plus
- ability to work overnight, weekends, and some holidays
- able to lift 50+ lbs without restrictions
- ability to stand and/or bend for extended periods to perform essential functions
- basic math skills
- excellent time management skills
- must adhere to all company procedures, health and safety standards
- compliance with food safety regulations and procedures
Job Qualifications
- completion of a culinary school program or apprenticeship preferred

- experience with mixing, bench work, proofing, and baking bread including laminated doughs
- ability to work overnight, weekends, and some holidays

- thorough understanding and adherence to health and safety standards
- knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
Job Duties
- prepare a variety of breads, ryes, rolls, and pastries according to traditional Danish recipes
- observe and maintain the quality of products being baked, adjust oven temperatures and baking times accordingly
- measure and combine ingredients using mixers, heat sources, and other baking equipment
- check quality of raw materials to ensure standards and specifications are met
- follow portion standards during preparation
- monitor inventory of ingredients for production needs
- properly label and store ingredients
- check equipment to ensure health and safety regulations compliance
- maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to health and safety standards
