Job Description
Shanna & Bryan Glazer JCC Event Center is a high-volume event kitchen and part of the larger JCC community known for its comprehensive programs and family-oriented services, located on the Cohn Campus. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to learn and be trained on the job
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event kitchen
- flexible availability to accommodate event schedules
- basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- physical stamina for standing and handling kitchen equipment
- must be able to work as part of a team
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- experience in baking or food preparation preferred but not required
- creativity in dessert presentation
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- willingness to take initiative and learn new culinary skills
- positive attitude and reliability
- basic knowledge of kitchen safety protocols
Job Duties
- prepare and bake a variety of desserts according to recipes
- assist in dessert preparation and kitchen setup
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking station
- follow food safety and hygiene standards
- collaborate with the culinary team for event readiness
- restock baking ingredients and supplies as needed
- contribute ideas for dessert menu enhancement
