Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior baking or pastry experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- basic math skills for measuring ingredients
- ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
- flexible schedule to accommodate varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Prior baking/pastry experience
- ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- knowledge of or ability to learn kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling standards
- flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts
Job Duties
- Assist with preparing basic pastry and bakery items such as cookies, muffins, brownies, and cakes using standard recipes
- accurately measure, scale, and mix ingredients following directions from senior bakers or chefs
- support general bakery operations including mixing, cooking/baking, assembly, setup, decorating, labeling, and proper storage of ingredients and finished products
- maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure proper use, cleaning, and storage of tools and equipment
- follow and uphold ServSafe kitchen standards and all food safety and sanitation regulations
- assist with inventory tasks such as tracking supplies and reporting low stock
- collaborate with the baking team to ensure timely production and high-quality service especially during peak hours and special events
- uphold standards of hospitality ensuring all guests receive the highest quality food and service
