Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately
  • ability to work Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • ability to work in a kitchen environment with possible exposure to heat and kitchen equipment
  • willingness to comply with company safety and sanitation policies

  • basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assist with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations during preparation and service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
  • relay relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
  • exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • check to ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment excluding corporate and OSHA safety standards
  • complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
