Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve customers in the Bakery Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing 'best in class' customer service including greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Prepare, proof and bake products for the bakery case and sales floor including breads, rolls, donuts and muffins while ensuring quality of product meets company standards
  • Apply toppings such as icing, glaze and seeds to baked products
  • Measure and mix ingredients in accordance with recipes
  • Develop and follow a daily production schedule to ensure the department is prepared for the following day
  • Track department inventory to ensure the correct quantity and variety of product is baked
  • Operate, maintain and clean baking equipment including ovens, proofers, knives and mixers
  • Assist Department Manager in preparing and placing orders
  • Package and price various bakery items
  • Organize and store bakery supplies in designated areas
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Bakery Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety and sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Bakery Department duties as needed
