Job Duties

  • Execute daily production of breakfast pastries, breads, and baked goods
  • create and maintain consistent quality in all pastry items
  • follow and execute the restaurant's original recipes for pastries, cakes, tarts, and bread
  • measure and mix ingredients with precision to form dough or batter
  • monitor baking process, including temperatures and cooking times
  • ensure proper proofing, baking, and cooling of all products
  • handle plating and garnishing of baked goods to meet presentation standards
  • document production quantities and waste
  • monitor inventory levels of all pastry ingredients and supplies
  • place orders in a timely manner to maintain adequate stock
  • track usage and maintain accurate inventory records
  • ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients
  • monitor ingredient freshness and quality
  • coordinate with vendors for specialty items
  • maintain clean and organized work area throughout shift
  • follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
  • collaborate with kitchen team on special items and seasonal offers
  • support catering and special event needs
  • maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs
  • assist in training new pastry team members
