Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Be able to operate bakery equipment safely
  • Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously
  • Be able to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Be able to operate bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Maintain adherence to safety, health, and food handling regulations including holding a Food Handlers permit
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring items

Job Duties

  • Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and log bakery product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Answer phones, take special orders, and interact positively with customers
