As part of the HomeGoods team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating merchandise processes. They are responsible for coordinating truck deliveries and prioritizing the efficient processing of products to the sales floor, ensuring all merchandise is properly tagged, displayed, and merchandised to uphold the company's recognized merchandising philosophy. They will also take part in training and mentoring associates to foster skill development and encourage adherence to the store’s operational standards.
This position emphasizes maintaining high standards of store cleanliness and organization both on the sales floor and in the backroom, contributing to a safe, welcoming, and well-organized shopping environment for all customers. Job Duties
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience
- promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality
- orchestrate truck delivery prioritizing merchandise processing
- train and mentor associates on merchandising and processing principles
- ensure merchandise is tagged, hung, secured and coded
- communicate with Coordinator on Duty for efficient goods flow
- ensure associates complete tasks and prioritize as needed
- monitor team productivity and provide coaching
- organize and rotate back stock for replenishment
- maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- uphold cleanliness and organization standards in backroom
- ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable
- communicate effectively with management and associates regarding priorities
- provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
- partner with management on associate training needs
- ensure adherence to labor laws, policies and procedures
- promote credit and loyalty programs
- support store shrink reduction goals
