The HomeGoods Store Associate at TJX plays an integral role in the retail environment by managing merchandise receiving and presentation, ensuring operational efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience. Associates are responsible for orchestrating truck deliveries, processing merchandise efficiently, and prioritizing the placement of products on the sales floor to maximize customer engagement. They also ensure merchandise complies with tagging, coding, hanging, and security standards to uphold the store's visual and safety guidelines.

As front-line representatives, they are expected to provide outstanding customer service by engaging with shoppers, answering questions, and facilitating promotions such as loyalty and credit programs. Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year retail experience
  • at least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience

  • ability to train and mentor others
  • capacity to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • create a positive internal and external customer experience
  • promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality
  • orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
  • train and mentor associates on merchandising and processing principles
  • ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
  • communicate with the coordinator on duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor
  • ensure associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan and prioritize as needed
