The new project at Casa Mani Resort in Napa Valley represents a dynamic culinary partnership and a significant expansion into luxury resort dining. Casa Mani Resort, a recently transformed resort, serves as the perfect backdrop for IDG to introduce a collection of elevated dining experiences rooted in seasonality, craftsmanship, and modern techniques. As part of this exciting new opening, IDG is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join the opening team as Back Servers at BOA Steakhouse within Casa Mani Resort. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates passionate about hospitality, wanting to be part of a high-energy team working in a high-end, high-volume restaurant. Back Servers play a crucial supporting role on the front line of service, ensuring that guests receive seamless and efficient service that meets the high standards synonymous with IDG’s brand.

The Back Server role is integral to maintaining the flow and polish of service throughout the dining experience. Responsibilities include maintaining impeccable cleanliness in the restaurant and its surrounding areas, delivering freshly prepared food from the kitchen to guests while providing detailed explanations of each dish and its accompaniments, and assisting with table management. Back Servers also reset tables quickly and professionally to provide a smooth transition between seatings and support servers by anticipating and fulfilling the needs of guests and the team. The role requires excellent communication skills, attentiveness to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced dining environment.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both with guests and teammates
  • A positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends
  • A valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training Certificate
  • Ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage a physically demanding role
  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Duties

  • Knowledgeable about our restaurant's food offerings and beverage program
  • Deliver food to guests, explaining each dish, the accompanied condiments and how they should be used
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
  • Between seatings, promptly clean, reset and arrange tabletops, chairs and booths and clean floor as required
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and promptly communicate all requests to server
  • Communicate with servers and hosts to ensure efficient seating and table utilization
  • Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • Perform station opening/closing and side work duties for each shift
  • Embody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitality
