The role of a Back Server at Oliver's Restaurant is integral to delivering the high standard of service expected within SHG's hospitality venues. As a Back Server, you will be responsible for supporting the front-of-house operations by running food, polishing glassware and silverware, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining open communication with servers and management. This position requires a passionate individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is committed to going beyond expectations to provide extraordinary hospitality. An outgoing personality paired with excellent communication skills is essential for fostering teamwork and ensuring smooth service flow. Compensation for this role ranges from $10.00 to $22.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling available except on Sundays and Mondays.   • 2+ years of fine dining experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary
  • outstanding food and beverage knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of fine dining experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary

  • exhibits professionalism and teamwork

  • TIPs or Food Handlers certificates a plus
  • prior food and wine knowledge a plus

Job Duties

  • Perform all tasks required to open and set up for service
  • polish silverware and glasses
  • align tables and place settings
  • ensure dining room is clean and ready to receive guests
  • deliver food to members and guests accurately, efficiently and with grace
  • support service team with ongoing table and floor maintenance, including, but not limited to, water service, clearing and cleaning tables and resetting tables with proper tableware
  • possess knowledge of all food menu items to answer any questions or inquiries a member or guest may have
  • consistently execute proper steps of service
  • assist in daily side work and closing/breakdown of the dining room
