The role of a Back Waiter at MUSE Santa Monica is a vital position within the front-of-house team. Job Duties

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the dining room each shift
  • assist the front-waiter in the cleaning, clearing, and marking of tables
  • clean, crumb and reset tables for the next turn
  • be in constant communication with the front waiter to assure proper clearing and marking is completed
  • keep bathrooms clean during service
  • general upkeep and maintenance of the dining area
  • transport cutlery and plates to and from dish washer, glassware to bar
  • polish clean cutlery for table settings
  • stock waiter station with polished plates and glassware
  • follow health and safety standards when handling food
  • attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills
  • support service team throughout service
  • menu and wine knowledge
  • responsible beverage service training certificate
