The Back of the House (BOH) team members at Diced Food play a crucial role in ensuring that every dish served meets the company's high standards. As a BOH team member, you will play an active part in the entire food preparation process. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitizing equipment, and performing routine maintenance to keep everything in optimal working condition. This team role demands flexibility, endurance, and dedication, considering the physical nature of the job involving lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, as well as standing and walking for extended periods.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace
  • Follows sanitation standards and procedures complying with legal regulations
  • Production of hot and cold dishes according to predetermined recipes
  • Portioning and attractive preparation of dishes
  • Provides foodstuff and utensils for kitchen manager by carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators
  • Maintains food quality by storing foods in designated areas, minimizing spoilage
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions
  • Troubleshoots breakdowns, maintains supplies, and performs preventative maintenance
  • Maintains appropriate levels of needed dishes and utensils
  • Segregates and removes waste
  • Participates in recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation
