Job Duties
- assist in preparing doughs, batters, and fillings according to specified recipes and instructions
- ensure accurate scaling, measuring, and portioning of ingredients
- operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment under the supervision of senior bakers
- bake and monitor products to ensure they meet quality and consistency standards
- conduct regular checks for product quality, adjusting baking times and temperatures as needed
- report any inconsistencies or quality concerns to the head baker
- monitor ingredients and supplies, ensuring that stock is adequately maintained and rotated
- notify supervisors of any shortages or necessary reorders
- keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized
- follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment
- work collaboratively with other BOH team members to ensure a smooth production process
- communicate effectively to maintain workflow and meet production schedules
