Job Description

Our company is a dedicated bakery and culinary establishment committed to crafting high-quality baked goods and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a team, we pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment where creativity and precision come together to produce a variety of delicious bakery items. Our bakery serves a wide community of customers who value quality, consistency, and freshness in every bite. We are an established name in the bakery industry, known for our attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Our environment emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and adherence to the highest safety and sanitation standards to ensure that every product meets our strict quality guidelines.

The Back of the House (BOH) Staff plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our bakery kitchen. The Baker I position is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their baking skills by working closely under the guidance of senior bakers. This role involves assisting with the preparation of doughs, batters, and fillings according to precise recipes, operating bakery equipment including ovens and mixers, and continuously monitoring the baking process to ensure consistency and product quality.

Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as our products must meet established quality benchmarks and customer expectations. Responsibilities also extend into inventory management, where team members track ingredient stock levels, notify supervisors of shortages, and rotate produce to reduce waste. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential, alongside strict compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols. This ensures a healthy work environment that aligns with regulatory standards.

In addition to technical baking skills, the Baker I is expected to contribute positively to the overall team dynamic by communicating effectively and collaborating with other BOH staff to meet production schedules. The work schedule is from 9 AM to 8 PM, providing ample opportunity for development within a structured and supportive setting. Compensation ranges between $18 and $20 per hour, reflecting the skill level and responsibilities of this entry-level baking position.

Joining our bakery means becoming part of a team that values growth, sustainability, and quality. We offer competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, and paid time off. Employees also have access to life and business travel accident insurance, flexible spending accounts, and various celebratory and condolence benefits. These offerings underline our commitment to supporting our employees both professionally and personally, ensuring a rewarding and stable work environment for all. If you are passionate about baking and eager to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced bakery kitchen, this position provides a wonderful opportunity to grow your career while contributing to the creation of beloved bakery products.
