With more than 165 locations across 13 countries and 20 in North America alone, Din Tai Fung has become synonymous with uncompromising culinary quality, authentic flavors, and warm, gracious hospitality. The brand is Michelin-recognized and admired for providing an elevated yet inviting cultural dining experience tailored to delight guests on any occasion. Each location exhibits a unique combination of traditional and modern culinary arts, showcased in a stylish and inviting dining environment. Din Tai Fung Costa Mesa is one of the many locations in North America and is now hosting a Back of House Hiring Event, inviting culinary professionals to join their dynamic kitchen team at 3333 Bristol St, Ste 2071, Costa Mesa, California. This event is scheduled for Thursday, May 7th, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, providing interested candidates a chance to engage directly with the hiring team and explore career opportunities in person.

The current openings are for two essential roles within the kitchen: Dumpling Prep and Wok Line Cook. The Dumpling Prep position offers a competitive wage of $24.00 per hour and focuses on the preparation, assembly, folding, and steaming of dumplings, which are the star dishes of Din Tai Fung's renowned menu. Working in the show kitchen, Dumpling Prep team members play a crucial role in creating an engaging and authentic guest experience by showcasing the fresh culinary craftsmanship that delights customers. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.

The Wok Line Cook is responsible for preparing wok-based dishes precisely according to Din Tai Fung's recipes, cook times, techniques, and plating standards. This ensures that every dish meets the restaurant's stringent standards for flavor, quality, and consistency. The role is ideal for cooks who enjoy high-paced kitchen environments and take pride in culinary excellence and authentic Asian flavors.

Both roles come with a flexible work schedule that includes opening and closing shifts, as well as weekday and weekend options. Din Tai Fung Costa Mesa offers an in-depth training program covering all essential job functions, ensuring that team members are well-prepared to meet the brand's high standards. The company values growth and loves promoting from within, making it a fertile environment for career development in the culinary field. The Dining experience at Din Tai Fung is designed to be much more than just a meal — it is a celebration of culture, craft, and community supported by a warm and collaborative team environment.
