This role is for an Executive Underwriter or Assistant Vice President (AVP), Underwriting Director specializing in Construction Casualty within Zurich's Midwest team. Responsibilities will include serving as a customer advocate, evaluating exposures with disciplined risk assessment and pricing strategies, leveraging risk data and models to inform decision-making at the point of sale, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, insurance laws, and rating manuals. The role demands a balance of technical underwriting capabilities and strong customer relationship management. The role provides a full-time schedule, remote working flexibility, and a comprehensive benefits package, making it an attractive opportunity for qualified professionals looking to advance their career in underwriting with a distinguished global insurance company.
