As an established player in the aviation industry, National Aviation Services (NAS) prides itself on operational excellence, innovation, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values every team member's contribution. NAS is dedicated to upholding industry standards while consistently meeting client expectations and adapting to the dynamic needs of the aviation sector.
The Station Manager role at Philadelphia International Airport offers a critical leadership position responsible for the smooth management of on-site operations and personnel. This full-time position requires an individual capable of supervising a diverse team that includes Interior Aircraft Cleaners, Building Maintenance Cleaners, Leads, and Supervisors, to ensure that all operational processes meet company and client standards. The Station Manager is tasked with not only overseeing daily activities but also driving continuous improvements through effective staff training and performance management. This role demands strong organizational skills, proficient communication with clients and corporate leadership, and a hands-on approach to operational challenges. The manager will handle budgeting, regulatory compliance, inventory control, and quality assurance using specialized systems such as Springshot for audits and client training platforms for reporting. Key aspects also include problem-solving equipment malfunctions, managing 24/7 operations, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with company policies and airport regulations.
In addition to operational leadership, the Station Manager ensures that all employees receive timely training and meet safety and security requirements, including the completion of necessary airport identification and driving licenses. Leadership duties extend to maintaining clear channels of communication across departments, managing financial constraints, and executing strategic staffing plans to sustain efficient service delivery. The role requires familiarity with various aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE), enabling the Station Manager to provide informed oversight and respond adeptly to operational disruptions.
The company embraces diversity and inclusion as core values, providing equal employment opportunities while offering reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. This position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of three years of management experience in a related field, excellent analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP payroll systems. Physical demands involve mobility within the airport environment and the capability to handle moderate lifting. Working conditions include exposure to indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather and typical airport noise levels. Joining National Aviation Services means becoming part of a global team committed to aviation excellence and responsive, client-focused service.
