Job Description

ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, dedicated to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Founded in 1909, ABM operates globally with over 100,000 team members in more than 350 offices located across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international markets. Known for its comprehensive range of essential services, ABM supports a variety of industries including commercial office buildings, airports, hospitals, universities, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and data centers. The company’s portfolio of services ranges from janitorial and engineering to parking, electrical and lighting, HVAC, energy, electrical vehicle charging infrastructure, landscaping, mechanical services, and mission-critical solutions, all designed to enhance the environments where people live, work, and gather.

The Aviation Trainer role at ABM is a vital position focused on delivering high-quality training programs specifically for frontline employees engaged in aircraft cabin cleaning and airport janitorial services. This role is essential to ensure that all employees are thoroughly trained in safety procedures, cleaning standards, regulatory compliance, and service expectations needed in the aviation industry. At a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to operational excellence and workforce readiness.

As an Aviation Trainer, the individual will conduct both onboarding and ongoing training sessions for cabin cleaners, janitorial staff, and supervisory personnel. This includes hands-on instruction covering specific aircraft cabin cleaning tasks, such as cleaning galleys, lavatories, and seating areas, as well as demonstrating proper equipment use and maintenance of high standards aligned with company policies and client requirements. The trainer will play a key role in ensuring compliance with OSHA, FAA, and airport authority regulations by educating employees on safety standards, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and correct hazardous material handling.

This role also extends into quality assurance by conducting regular site observations and inspections to verify cleaning techniques and service delivery. Identifying performance gaps and retraining employees as necessary is part of the commitment to continuous improvement. The Aviation Trainer collaborates closely with operations leadership, including Operations Managers and Supervisors, to support workforce readiness, assist with new account startups and transitions, and manage scheduling of training sessions across multiple shifts and airport locations.

In addition to hands-on training and compliance enforcement, this position requires strong communication and presentation skills to effectively train diverse groups in a fast-paced, safety-regulated environment. Physical capability is essential, as the role demands standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds, along with the flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates for this role should possess a valid state driver’s license and ideally have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in aviation services, janitorial services, or facilities management, with previous training or instructional experience preferred.

ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, employee health benefits, and ongoing training and development opportunities. With its commitment to equal opportunity employment and military-friendly policies, ABM fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment where employees are empowered to thrive. This role offers candidates the chance to be part of a world-class organization that values safety, quality, and sustainability while providing competitive pay and career growth opportunities within the aviation services sector.
