It is publicly traded on the NYSE and maintains a strong presence in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations.
The role of Aviation Supervisor of Janitorial Services at ABM is vital for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within an airport setting. This position involves overseeing janitorial operations to ensure that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are conducted in compliance with airport regulations and safety standards. The Aviation Supervisor will lead a dedicated team of janitorial staff, taking responsibility for scheduling, training, and monitoring employee performance. By doing so, this role ensures that passenger terminals, lounges, restrooms, baggage handling areas, and other airport facilities are consistently clean and sanitary.
Working at ABM as an Aviation Supervisor includes a first shift schedule and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00, with potential variation based on experience and skill set. Beyond competitive pay, ABM provides robust benefits including a 401(k) plan with company matching on personal contributions beginning just six months after employment. Employees can expect an inclusive work environment, access to professional development programs, and support that extends to accommodating individuals with disabilities. The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, often juggling multiple priorities. Candidates who bring bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish and English, are preferred to better serve the diverse airport community.
In this supervisory role, the successful candidate will coordinate daily cleaning operations, manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, enforce health and safety policies including the proper handling of hazardous materials, and quickly respond to urgent cleaning requests and passenger concerns. Frequent communication and collaboration with airport management and other departments are critical for addressing janitorial needs holistically and ensuring operational standards are upheld. This role also involves routine inspections to promptly remedy any issues related to cleanliness or safety, underscoring ABM's dedication to passenger and staff wellbeing. The Aviation Supervisor is a frontline leader, mentoring janitorial employees to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and efficiency. This role holds significant responsibility in enhancing the passenger experience and supporting the seamless operation of airport services.
