The role available is for a Full-time Auxiliar de Bebidas (Beverage Assistant) at the American Express Lounge - DEN with a steady pay rate of $23.50 per hour. This position is pivotal in supporting bartenders and ensuring that guests have an exceptional experience. The Beverage Assistant will perform a range of tasks including cleaning and maintaining the bar area, ensuring that glassware is appropriately washed and stocked, preparing fresh garnishes using the FIFO system, restocking supplies efficiently, and keeping the bar and storage areas sanitary and compliant with health regulations. The role requires excellent physical stamina as it involves significant walking or other movement, standing for extended periods (sometimes beyond 8 hours), and handling weights up to 50 pounds. Punctuality and reliability are critical, as the assistant is expected to show up consistently for scheduled shifts and contribute positively to the operational flow.

Job Requirements

  • Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to local and state laws
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Open availability for varying shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant experience
  • Minimum legal age to serve alcohol or work as a bartender according to local and state regulations

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar furniture, tables, and other tools
  • Collect empty glasses from the bar and wash glassware as needed to ensure an adequate supply for serving customers
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks employing the First-in, First-out (FIFO) system
  • Restock the bar or assigned station with supplies and transport supplies to the bar area
  • Anticipate and communicate restocking needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, beer drawers, and storage and refrigeration areas to comply with health code standards
  • Walk or move around significantly during shifts
  • Stand or walk for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally move or lift 50 pounds
  • Arrive at work and report to scheduled shifts on time with sufficient regularity
  • Perform other assigned tasks that vary depending on client needs and business requirements
