Job Description

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking several full-time Sales and Service Lot Porters to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers the perfect opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the automotive industry and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The Lot Porter role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the dealership lot and service area. Responsibilities include maintaining the quality and standard of service, inspecting incoming vehicles for damages, verifying the inventory against invoices, and ensuring the proper placement and cleanliness of vehicles on the lot. The Porter will also be responsible for managing accessories related to vehicles such as spare tires, charge cables, and navigation cards, confirming their presence as per the invoices. Efficiently parking new vehicles while optimizing use of dealership space, maintaining service tools and equipment, and collaborating with team members and management are critical aspects of the role.

This position requires a proactive and dependable individual with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. While no previous experience is needed, familiarity with a variety of automobiles and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record are essential. The successful candidate will undergo a background check and drug testing before employment. We offer a comprehensive pay plan including a base hourly wage ranging from $16.90 to $18.50, based on experience. Additional benefits will be discussed with candidates as part of the interview process.

Job Duties

  • Maintaining the standard and quality of service of the organization
  • Comparing serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices
  • Inspecting cars thoroughly to detect damage and recording description of damages/missing items on delivery receipt
  • Verifying presence of accessories listed on the invoice such as spare tires, charge cables and NAV cards
  • Parking new cars in the assigned area while maximizing the use of space and maintaining the dealership lot
  • Using necessary equipment for cleaning and servicing of auto parts
  • Understanding and delivering to the specific requirements of the customers
  • Maintaining the proper function of all service tools and equipment
  • Coordinating work with team members and management
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervising manager
