Job Description

Dick Hannah Dealerships is a well-established, family-run automotive dealership group that has been serving customers since 1949. Known for their commitment to family, integrity, respect, and purpose, Dick Hannah Dealerships focus on providing exceptional customer service while fostering a supportive and respectful work environment. The company prides itself on innovation and forward-thinking practices while maintaining strong traditional family values. The dealership group operates multiple locations and offers a wide range of automotive services, ensuring a trusted and comprehensive experience for customers looking for new and used vehicles, maintenance, and repair services.

The Automotive Service Driver/Porter role at Dick Hannah Dealerships is vital to maintaining the smooth daily operation of the service department. This position involves the safe and efficient movement and washing of customer vehicles to ensure they are delivered back in pristine condition. Service Porters play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership facility, including clearing trash, keeping floors clean, and handling the recycling of used containers and fluids. Additionally, Porters support the Service Director with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Starting at $17.50 per hour, the Automotive Service Porter position offers competitive compensation alongside a generous paid time off program that promotes a healthy work-life balance. New full-time employees accrue paid time off at the rate of 4 hours per pay period, amounting to approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases based on tenure. Benefits for the role are comprehensive and begin after 60 days of employment, featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). The benefits package also includes life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and a robust 401(k) retirement plan, providing financial security and support for employees and their families. Additionally, the dealership offers five paid holidays per year for eligible Automotive Service Porters.

The role demands a high level of attentiveness and a sense of spatial orientation, as Porters must maneuver vehicles safely and precisely on the lot and throughout the service area. Candidates must maintain a clean driving record and be insurable under the company's insurance policy, including the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles. Working in a fast-paced automotive environment requires adaptability, physical stamina, and strong communication skills. The Automotive Service Porter contributes directly to the positive customer experience and overall operational efficiency of the dealership, making this role an essential part of the Dick Hannah team. Joining Dick Hannah means working for a company that truly values its employees and leads its business with a philosophy rooted in respect and care for both its customers and workforce.
