Job Description

The Hertz Corporation is a globally recognized leader in the vehicle rental industry with a long-standing reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. Operating under the renowned Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, and Thrifty Car Rental brands, Hertz provides services across approximately 9,700 corporate and franchisee locations throughout North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. As one of the largest airport general use vehicle rental companies worldwide, Hertz continues its commitment to operational excellence, innovative services, and creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. The company fosters a culture of integrity, professionalism, transparency, and teamwork, ensuring that every employee contributes meaningfully to its global success and esteemed brand reputation.

This position is pivotal to supporting Hertz's fleet and operational efficiency. The role focuses on accurately controlling the flow of vehicles by managing arrivals, inventory, and ensuring each vehicle's status is correctly reflected in the fleet computer system. The individual will be responsible for crucial tasks such as lot merchandising, ensuring vehicles are presentable and properly priced, and managing both the front line and back-overflow parking lots. This includes aligning and parking cars to optimal standards to maintain a professional sales lot appearance. The role also entails logistical duties involving shuttle services for vehicles to vendors, supporting dealer trades, and occasionally assisting with customer transportation needs.

Attention to detail is vital as this position requires maintaining meticulous records, such as fuel logs and various reports, which support efficient fleet operations and provide valuable data to the Location Manager. Employees in this role benefit from a competitive hourly wage of $16.90 with eligibility for bonus incentives and overtime pay, adhering strictly to federal, state, and local labor laws. Holiday pay, sick pay, and paid time off including vacation and observed holidays ensure a balanced work-life environment. Hertz further offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans, retirement programs with 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, adoption assistance, employee assistance programs, educational reimbursements, optional insurance programs, and various discounts.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 20 years old, and possess flexible scheduling availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position demands reliability and adaptability to different shifts based on operational needs. Internally, candidates must have completed probation and demonstrate excellent job performance and attendance. This opportunity represents an ideal career path for individuals committed to excellence in fleet operations within a dynamic and supportive work environment. Hertz encourages diversity and inclusion and invites all qualified individuals to apply, contributing to a vibrant company culture dedicated to equal opportunity and respect for unique perspectives and talents.
