Job Description

The Hertz Corporation is a globally recognized leader in the car rental industry, operating well-known brands such as Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, and Thrifty Car Rental. With approximately 9,700 corporate and franchisee locations across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Hertz stands as one of the largest airport general use vehicle rental companies in the world. The Hertz brand is synonymous with trust, reliability, and exceptional customer service, making it a dominant force in the global mobility sector. Hertz prides itself on fostering a culture of inclusivity, integrity, and professionalism, ensuring that every employee plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's esteemed reputation.

This particular role focuses on managing the flow and inventory of vehicles within the rental fleet, ensuring seamless operational efficiency in the management of vehicle arrivals, marketing readiness, and lot maintenance. The role of an Inventory and Fleet Coordinator at Hertz involves controlling the flow of cars in and out of the facility, performing inventory checks, logging new arrivals, and updating the fleet computer system with accurate vehicle status information. This position demands attention to detail, operational awareness, and strong organizational skills to maintain the presentable and orderly appearance of the sales and overflow lots.

The Inventory and Fleet Coordinator is also responsible for the merchandising of vehicles on the lot, which includes making sure each vehicle is front line ready, correctly priced, and equipped with all necessary documentation such as pricing stickers, buyers guides, and frame plates. Parking, aligning, and maintaining the aesthetics of the sales lot are critical duties to create an appealing browsing environment for customers and prospects.

In addition to managing the primary lot, this role involves managing the back-overflow lot, facilitating efficient vehicle shuttling to vendors, assisting with dealer trades, and occasionally providing customer shuttle services. Reporting duties are a key part of the job, where coordination with the Location Manager is necessary to maintain accurate fuel logs and other operational reports. The role offers a part-time or full-time employment opportunity with a wage of $16.00 per hour, supported by an attractive benefits package. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, employee vehicle purchase programs, and additional employee discounts.

Candidates interested in this position at Hertz must exhibit a commitment to integrity, transparency, professionalism, and teamwork. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and will be assigned based on operational needs. Applicants must be at least 20 years old and must hold a valid driver’s license to qualify. Internal applicants need to have successfully completed their probationary period and demonstrated excellent attendance and job performance.

Hertz encourages diversity and fosters an inclusive work environment where every individual’s unique perspectives, skills, and experiences are valued. The company is an equal opportunity employer, actively promoting employment and advancement opportunities for all qualified candidates, including those with disabilities and veterans. If you are looking for a role where you can grow professionally while contributing to a globally respected brand, this opportunity at Hertz is an ideal match. We invite motivated and detail-oriented individuals to apply today or share this opportunity with your network.
