The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass is essential in complementing the repair process by ensuring customer vehicles are clean and presentable before delivery. Physical stamina is important, as the job entails activities like lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and operating motor vehicles.

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • maintain daily housekeeping of office interior, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas
  • maintain daily housekeeping of production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment
  • maintain parking lots and grounds in neat and orderly condition, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
  • pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning
  • perform exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
  • transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
