The role of a Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass is integral to maintaining the high standards of quality and customer satisfaction the company is known for. The Porter plays a key complementary role by ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable before delivery to customers, which enhances the overall repair experience. Additionally, the Porter is responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of both the office and production areas, including routine housekeeping tasks such as emptying garbage, cleaning floors, and managing tools and equipment.
This position also includes responsibilities such as pre-washing vehicles before repairs begin, performing interior and exterior cleaning after repairs, and safely transporting vehicles to sublet locations as required. Physical demands are part of the daily routine including tasks like pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working near moving mechanical parts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can multitask effectively and maintain a positive, trustworthy attitude.

Job Duties
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
- Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area
- Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location
- Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
- Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning
- Perform exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
- Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
