The role at hand is within The Bancorp’s Fleet Management Services team, a unique segment of the bank that operates as one of the few bank-owned direct fleet lessors in the United States. This team serves both commercial and government customers and offers comprehensive solutions covering procurement, upfitting, financing, fleet management, and vehicle disposal. Being part of this team means working closely with seasoned industry experts dedicated to providing direct bank financing and helping clients optimize their fleets, manage costs, and enhance efficiency. The position involves hands-on responsibilities such as monitoring vehicle inventories, maintaining the fleet’s parking lot, coordinating vehicle deliveries, inspecting lease returns, and performing detailed pre-delivery inspections of new car arrivals. This is an onsite position that does not require travel, emphasizing the importance of routine operational tasks necessary for the smooth functioning of the fleet management services. The ideal candidate will bring automotive service industry experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment at The Bancorp.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 1 year of automotive service industry experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and no more than 2 violations or at fault accidents within the last 3 years
- Ability to operate cars, light trucks, and vans including manual and automatic transmissions
- Must be able to work in an open environment under extreme temperatures
- Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
- Schedule must be flexible with ability to travel
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- 1 year of automotive service industry experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and no more than 2 violations or at fault accidents within the last 3 years
- Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Team player, able to work effectively and multi-task in fast paced environment
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Internet
- Schedule must be flexible with ability to travel
Job Duties
- Assists in daily operations related to new or used vehicle receiving, delivery procedures and inventory control
- Inspects vehicles for any damage in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Performs pre-delivery inspection on new car arrivals and creates files listing any issues that may need to be addressed
- Performs vehicle inspections on off lease vehicle returns noting mileage, options, interior and exterior damages
- Processes vehicle data regarding new or off lease vehicles into inventory system of record
- Coordinates recondition of vehicles prior to new lease delivery or lease return disposal
- Maintains a safe working environment and performs light building maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned
