Job Description
The Ed Napleton Automotive Group stands as one of the most prominent and successful automotive dealership groups in the United States, affiliated with over 25 brands of new vehicles and operating more than 50 dealerships across seven states. With a workforce of over 3,500 dedicated employees nationwide, this family-owned and operated company has built a reputation over its 90-plus years of business for delivering exceptional customer service and providing excellent career growth opportunities within the automotive industry. Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata, a noteworthy location within the group, is currently seeking a skilled Automotive Detailer to join their team. This rare opportunity invites passionate individuals to become part of an influential and expanding enterprise in the automotive sector.
As an Automotive Detailer at Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata, the selected candidate will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all sales and service vehicles, including both new and used inventory. This role involves meticulously cleaning interior and exterior surfaces to ensure vehicles are in pristine condition for customers and sales purposes. The position requires efficiency paired with safety consciousness to handle the cleaning processes using various tools and products. Candidates will benefit from an hourly wage potential ranging between $25 and $27, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plans, paid vacation, and sick time.
In this role, the Automotive Detailer must excel at washing cars to remove surface dirt, vacuuming interiors, spot-cleaning textile stains, and polishing exterior surfaces using mechanical buffers and compounds. Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and tools is integral to ensuring smooth operations and maximizing productivity. Candidates will also participate in performing minor body repairs to address scratches and blemishes, utilizing buffers or wet sanders to uphold the aesthetic quality of vehicles. Periodic production meetings are part of the job duties, providing updates and ways to enhance performance under managerial direction.
This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in automotive detailing, backed by at least three years of experience. Essential skills include the ability to safely handle machinery, operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, and utilize hand and power tools effectively. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid state driver’s license, be at least 18 years of age in compliance with the company driving policy, and successfully pass a background check according to local laws and regulations.
Being an equal opportunity employer, the Ed Napleton Automotive Group upholds a strict non-discrimination policy that guarantees a respectful and inclusive work environment for all employees regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic defined by federal, state, or local laws. Embrace this exciting career path with a revered leader in the automotive industry and enjoy significant growth and development prospects while contributing to the overall success of Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata.
