The Automation Technician role available at Airgas is a vital position that involves servicing advanced robotic and automation equipment primarily used in their customer installations across Tulsa, OK, Little Rock, AR, and Oklahoma City, OK. The position focuses on Controlled Automation CNC plasma cutting and arc welding robotic systems, emphasizing systems from OTC and Yaskawa, and Hypertherm cutting technologies. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems and involves installation, configuration, programmed operation, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Additionally, the technician will provide support by training equipment operators and generating detailed reports to maintain equipment service history.

This position demands a 'road warrior' mentality with up to 75% travel, including overnight stays, to service regional customers.
