Established with over 115 years of experience and operating globally, Raute embodies innovation, sustainability, and customer success. Headquartered in Lahti, Finland, with manufacturing facilities in Kajaani, Canada, and the USA, the company is recognized as a trusted partner by customers who prioritize raw material efficiency and sustainable industrial operations through data-driven technologies. The Automation Service Engineer at Raute plays a pivotal role within the Services group, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the optimization of Raute’s automation systems across North America. With a strong emphasis on hands-on problem-solving, the Automation Service Engineer collaborates closely with customer teams and internal project engineers to enhance system functionality, execute software programming tasks primarily with Beckhoff and Allen Bradley PLC platforms, and continuously improve operational performance.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging approximately from $70,000 to $105,000 annually, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibilities associated with it. The position is ideal for candidates who enjoy a customer-facing environment blended with technical challenges and are motivated by delivering tangible value and reliability through equipment lifecycle management. The Automation Service Engineer also contributes to enhancing service efficiency and customer experience by tracking maintenance, supporting system upgrades, and driving best practices within Raute’s service organization. The successful candidate will embody strong communication skills, professionalism, and a results-oriented mindset while upholding Raute’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. In addition to the technical responsibilities, this role encourages continuous professional growth and active participation in a team that strives to be a leader in the engineered wood product sector. At Raute, employees gain more than a job – they embark on a meaningful career path in an industry making a significant positive impact on society and the environment.
