The available role is for a Delivery Driver position, offering a daytime shift Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. The position pays $20 per hour along with a full range of noteworthy benefits that contribute to overall employee well-being and financial security. This role is integral to the company’s distribution operations, involving the safe operation of a company vehicle to deliver products to customers securely and efficiently. The driver will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at delivery and pickup points. Responsibilities also include manually loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying that products and documentation align accurately with shipment manifests, and processing customer payments and receipts. Accountability for the condition of delivered parts and the receipt documentation of deliveries and returns is an essential aspect of the job. The delivery driver is expected to adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations mandated by the Department of Transportation, and FMCSA guidelines, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

Candidates must have at least one year of driving experience, a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and must meet physical and testing requirements set forth by relevant authorities. The driver will also have opportunities to use computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support documentation and communication tasks. Physically, the role requires the ability to handle demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds, working in cramped spaces, and dealing with varying environmental conditions. This position does not entail supervising other employees but focuses on individual job execution and customer interaction.

Job Requirements

  • No degree required
  • 1+ years of experience required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Prior warehouse operations experience preferred
  • Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform basic math computations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents
  • Physically load company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made
  • Drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location
  • Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location
  • Collect accounts receivable, as necessary
  • Comply with established company policies and procedures
  • Successful completion of annual training as assigned
  • Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
  • Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pick up of products
  • Assume other duties as assigned
