This Porter position at Gerber Collision & Glass is an essential role that supports the quality repair process by ensuring customer vehicles are clean and presentable before delivery. The role involves maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of both the shop and office facilities, as well as taking care of various housekeeping tasks in these areas. Employees in this role actively assist in preparing vehicles for repair and post-repair presentation, giving customers a positive impression of Gerber Collision & Glass.

The job requires hands-on activities such as pre-washing vehicles before repairs begin, performing exterior and interior cleanups after repairs, transporting vehicles to sublet locations, maintaining the grounds including parking lots, and performing routine waste disposal and cleaning duties. It is designed for individuals comfortable with multitasking, attention to detail, and working in a physically active environment. Gerber Collision & Glass offers this position as a part-time or full-time opportunity, with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $15 to $17 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas
  • maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment properly
  • maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
  • pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning
  • perform exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
  • transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
