Located in Tonawanda, New York, The Boyd Group is a renowned company that prioritizes its team members by providing a supportive work environment, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits. The Boyd Group is part of a larger network of automotive service providers committed to excellence in vehicle repair and customer satisfaction. This company operates with a mission to empower employees by giving them control over their future and the authority to make decisions that positively impact their roles and the organization as a whole.

The focus of this position is to join The Boyd Group as a Porter, where you will play a crucial role in complementing quality repairs through the meticulous cleaning and maintenance of customer vehicles before they are delivered. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of service and professionalism for which The Boyd Group is known. The Porter is responsible not only for vehicle cleanliness but also for ensuring that the shop and office facilities uphold a neat and organized appearance at all times.

As a Porter, you will be expected to execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently, which emphasizes exceptional service and operational excellence. Your daily tasks will include housekeeping duties such as emptying garbage cans, sweeping floors, dusting workstations, and managing waste and unwanted vehicle parts. The role also requires maintaining parking lots and the surrounding grounds, including activities like shoveling sidewalks during winter conditions. Pre-washing customer vehicles prior to repair commencements and cleaning them thoroughly post-repair ensures that every customer receives their vehicle in pristine condition. Additionally, the role involves transporting customer vehicles to sublet locations for off-site repairs as necessary.

This position offers an hourly wage range of $16 to $19, dependent on skills and experience, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking steady employment with growth potential. The Boyd Group emphasizes a team-oriented culture and values employees who demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. This is a role well-suited for candidates who enjoy working in an automotive environment and have an eye for detail and cleanliness.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license to be considered for this position. The job involves some physical demands, such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and operating motor vehicles safely. The company is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities, ensuring all employees can perform their roles effectively.

Joining The Boyd Group as a Porter offers more than just a job; it provides an entry point into the automotive service industry within a company that values its team members and invests in their success. If you have a high school diploma or GED, a strong attention to detail, and enjoy providing excellent customer support, this role could be an excellent fit for you. The company’s commitment to human-centric hiring practices is underscored by their policy of not using artificial intelligence in the hiring process — all candidates are reviewed thoughtfully by real people.

Overall, The Boyd Group presents a stable, supportive, and rewarding work environment for prospective Porters.
