This role is that of an auto damage claims adjuster, a field-based position that serves as a crucial point of contact between Progressive and its customers. As an auto damage claims adjuster, you will manage the entire repair process from start to finish, working independently while managing your own inventory of claims. You will conduct thorough vehicle inspections, write detailed estimates, assess liability, determine total loss evaluations, and negotiate repair pricing with body shops. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Your role directly impacts the customer experience by ensuring a smooth and efficient claims process that is consistent with Progressive’s claims standards and local regulations.

In this role, you will frequently drive within your assigned geographical area covering Bedford, NH, Salem, NH, Plaistow, NH, and surrounding locations. You will have access to a company car and may occasionally be required to report to a Progressive office. The workload is assessed collectively across the team, which means you may be called on to cover assignments outside your usual territory. Compensation for this position ranges from $66,800 to $81,600 annually, complemented by a Gainshare annual cash incentive payment of up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performance. Working conditions include a blend of office, field, body shop, and service center environments. The job involves physical activities such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing, walking, crouching, and exposure to dust and fumes typical of body shop environments.
