As an Order Taker/Runner at H-E-B Restaurant, you will play a critical role in delivering a positive and memorable guest experience. Your responsibilities will include taking accurate and timely food and drink orders while providing knowledgeable recommendations and suggestions to guests. You will assist customers in choosing menu items and beverages, including alcoholic options, ensuring compliance with all relevant alcohol regulations. This role involves preparing drinks, serving food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining and patio area. Additionally, handling transactions through cash, check, debit, or credit ensures the smooth flow of sales operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and capable of fostering strong guest relationships by addressing complaints and resolving issues with a customer-first approach. You will be expected to support teamwork to enhance the overall guest experience and may also assist with catering orders or other technical aspects as needed. Sanitation and food safety are critical components of the role, including maintaining cleanliness in food prep and bar areas, complying with health and safety regulations, and properly handling equipment. This position requires working extended or rotating hours and involves physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Completion of alcohol seller training and cash handling training upon hire is mandatory. Job Requirements
- 18 plus age
- 1 plus years of experience in customer service
- experience in restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred
- working understanding of nutrition values and ingredients

Job Duties
- Builds strong relationships with customers in varying situations
