Job Description

This leading establishment is a prominent player in the restaurant industry, known for delivering exceptional dining experiences that combine quality food and exemplary customer service. As a dynamic restaurant, it embraces a culture of teamwork, attention to detail, and strong leadership with an emphasis on creating an inviting and memorable atmosphere for guests. Known for its dedication to training and developing its staff, the restaurant values growth opportunities and operational excellence, setting high standards to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The role of Front of House (FOH) Lead is a pivotal position within the restaurant’s operational hierarchy. This leadership role is designed for an individual who can ensure that all front of house Partners consistently provide positive and memorable service to guests. Key responsibilities include taking guest orders, preparing drinks, delivering food, and maintaining cleanliness of the front service areas. The FOH Lead functions as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Manager, supervising Partners during shifts and ensuring smooth operations. This involves providing work direction, training team members on customer service, compliance, food safety, sanitation, and equipment operation. The FOH Lead is also tasked with assisting the manager during peak periods, handling closing duties when necessary, and serving as backup to the Manager.

Customer service is a critical component of the FOH Lead’s responsibilities. The role demands superior customer service skills to foster a safe and welcoming environment. The individual will be expected to answer customer inquiries, assist with menu and beverage selections including alcoholic beverages, and provide detailed information about menu items and specials. Handling guest complaints effectively to build strong relationships is also a key part of the job. Strong sales skills are encouraged to meet customer needs and boost department sales through the use of suggestive selling techniques.

The FOH Lead also plays a vital role in compliance, food safety, and sanitation enforcement. This includes ensuring adherence to TABC regulations, maintaining departmental and store standard operating procedures, completing required logs such as temperature and 86 logs, and upholding the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment. The individual serves frequently in both front and back of house partner duties, including food preparation, plating, and ingredient ordering, illustrating the versatility and hands-on nature of this position.

Beyond the day-to-day operations, the FOH Lead must exhibit strong organizational and planning skills to manage priorities successfully while maintaining a positive demeanor. The role requires impeccable communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong reading, writing, math, and computer skills to navigate operational systems and administrative tasks effectively. Physical stamina to operate safely in a fast-paced retail environment and the ability to safely maneuver around mechanical parts while handling various physical demands are intrinsic to this role.

Overall, this FOH Lead position offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced restaurant leaders who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences while mentoring teams, maintaining operational standards, and driving sales in a reputable restaurant setting. This full-time role emphasizes leadership development and operational contribution, presenting a rewarding career path within a respected and growing restaurant enterprise.
