Job Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant leadership
  • basic culinary knowledge
  • expert communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • strong reading, writing, and math skills
  • strong computer skills (MS Office, internet)

  • ability to lead a restaurant function and other Partners
  • ability to handle guest feedback and resolve problems effectively
  • ability to maintain a smile even when balancing multiple priorities
  • completion of Alcohol Seller Training / Cash Handling training upon hire
  • function in a fast-paced, retail environment
  • work extended hours and/or rotating schedules
  • safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
  • constantly reach at waist, grasp
  • frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials
  • frequently stand, walk

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant leadership
  • experience in an H-E-B Restaurant preferred
  • experience in restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred
  • basic culinary knowledge
  • understanding of nutrition values and ingredients preferred
  • expert communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • strong reading, writing, and math skills
  • strong computer skills (MS Office, internet)
  • organization and planning skills
  • ability to lead a restaurant function and other Partners
  • ability to handle guest feedback and resolve problems effectively
  • ability to maintain a smile even when balancing multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Provide work direction
  • directly supervise Partners
  • serve as conduit of communication for management
  • train Partners on customer service, compliance, food safety, sanitation, equipment operation
  • work with manager at peak times
  • perform closing responsibilities when needed
  • serve as backup to Manager
  • assist in inventory control and purchasing duties
  • perform front of house service duties as needed
  • provide superior customer service
  • promote safe environment through responsible serving
  • answer customer questions
  • assist with menu and beverage selections including alcoholic beverages
  • provide detailed information of menu items and specials, beer and wine
  • address complaints
  • resolve problems for guests and Partners
  • merchandise products effectively
  • use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales
  • perform front of house Partner duties frequently
  • perform back of house duties including food preparation, plating, and ingredient ordering
  • ensure compliance with TABC regulations
  • ensure compliance with department and Store standard operating procedures
  • ensure completion of logs for area of responsibility
  • ensure cleanliness and sanitation of sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
