The role focuses on managing audio-visual event production at various locations while also performing technical duties within the office as required. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • two years experience in audio visual event support
  • physical fitness to lift 80 lbs and stand for up to 10 hours
  • reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and clean record
  • fluent English
  • flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays and holidays
  • capability to climb ladder, operate forklift and scissor lift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • at least two years experience in audio visual event support
  • physically fit and able to lift 80 lbs and be on feet for up to 10 hours
  • reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • fluent English speaker
  • flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays and holidays
  • able to climb ladder, drive forklift and operate scissor lift
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • positive attitude and pursuit of high standards
  • ability to manage diverse communication styles and resolve conflicts
  • fast learner of new technology
  • proficient in Microsoft Office, PCP rental software, Google docs and email
  • responsible and accountable for own actions
  • capable of filling in as department head in director’s absence

Job Duties

  • Fill orders and write pull sheets accurately
  • set up, tear down, transport and maintain audio visual equipment safely and efficiently
  • assist the director with clients and sales inquiries when directed
  • report damaged, broken, or missing equipment immediately to AV director
  • check in and out and perform quality control on all AV equipment
  • create, follow and adapt event production plans to ensure correct equipment setup and event execution
  • maintain excellent customer service and communication skills during long shifts and stressful situations
  • communicate low quantities of consumables or perishable tools needed to the office manager
  • keep vehicles, dock, office, warehouse and event sites clean
  • manage AV staff, contractors and freelance laborers at event sites
  • install AV jobs including those requiring ladder, forklift or scissor lift use
  • keep up to date on industry trends and new technologies and train staff accordingly
  • effectively run events and crew with minimal help from AV director
