Job Description

Auction.com is a leading online real estate marketplace specializing in the sale of foreclosed and bank-owned properties across the United States. Their platform connects buyers, sellers, and investors with real estate assets through a streamlined online auction experience. As a trusted name in real estate auctions, Auction.com has transformed the way properties are bought and sold, offering transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. The company emphasizes technology-driven solutions, ensuring that buyers and sellers engage in a seamless, interactive, and secure auction process.

This part-time Auction Coordinator I position based in Missoula, Montana, offers an exciting opportunity to join the Auction.com team as a live auction representative. This role is vital as the Auction Coordinator represents the company in live, public foreclosure auctions held mostly in Western Montana, including counties such as Missoula, Ravalli, Flathead, Lake, Mineral, and Granite. The position is part-time with a typical commitment of 4-20 hours per week, usually distributed across at least two days, with occasional additional days as needed. The schedule can vary week to week, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Candidates for this role must bring a tech-savvy and sales-focused mindset, combined with a professional and energetic approach. Communication skills are essential because the role demands direct interaction with investors, bidders, management teams, and the public during auction events. The position requires physical attendance at auction sites, so candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to stand for extended periods while working in all weather conditions. Travel within the assigned territory is a key component of the job, with rare instances of overnight travel, and there may be opportunities to use a company rental car for travel outside the primary territory.

The Auction Coordinator will manage all live auction events, which includes auctioneering properties, performing data entry into proprietary software, executing contracts, managing funds—including cash transactions—and educating customers regarding auction processes and website navigation. The role demands high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should also be physically capable of lifting items up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Training will be provided to ensure that new team members are well-equipped to handle all responsibilities. Candidates are required to be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver’s license. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are preferred, and while real estate or title experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

Working as an Auction Coordinator I at Auction.com is a chance to build valuable skills in the real estate auction industry, gain hands-on experience with technology and sales, and be part of a dynamic, well-respected company that leads the market in foreclosure auctions. The part-time nature of the role makes it suitable for individuals seeking flexibility while engaging in a rewarding, face-to-face customer service and sales position. This opportunity is especially well-suited for professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with the public, and playing a key role in facilitating real estate transactions through live auctions.
