Job Description
Atticus Bakery is a renowned commissary bakery known for its commitment to crafting high-quality baked goods using regionally grown grains and flour. Unlike many bakeries, Atticus Bakery proudly abstains from using white flour, emphasizing natural and wholesome ingredients to produce exceptional bread, pastries, and other baked products. Serving two retail stores, wholesale markets, and catering events, Atticus Bakery has built a reputation for artisanal excellence and a dedication to sustainability and regional sourcing. The bakery operates with a strong emphasis on collaboration and skill, cultivating a team-oriented environment where bakers are encouraged to learn and grow.
The Baker position at Atticus Bakery involves preparing handmade baked goods with precision and care. This role requires a thorough understanding of the impact different grains have on products and an eagerness to master the art of bread and pastry production. Working in a large-scale bakery environment, the baker will prepare, bake, and finish bread and pastry items such as cookies and scones. Early hours and physical stamina are essential due to the nature of the bakery's operations and the demand for freshness. The baker must also be a team player, ready to collaborate with Lead Bakers, Assistant Bakery Managers, and the Bakery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the bakery.
