In this position, the individual will maintain the inventory of the beverage area, properly rotate and date food items, and stock food products to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations. The dishwasher/attendant must ensure that all dishes and kitchen utensils are sanitized following strict guidelines, operate dishwashing equipment efficiently by loading and unloading the dishwasher, and keep accurate records of sanitizer levels each day. Monitoring and reporting any equipment malfunctions or concerns to the supervisory staff is also a key responsibility.

Beyond dishwashing, this role demands thorough attention to cleanliness in all food service areas, including trash disposal after meals, keeping floors clear and sanitized through sweeping and mopping, and making certain wet floor signs are used appropriately to maintain workplace safety. Additionally, the dishwasher/attendant will carry out detailed cleaning tasks involving walls, chemical closets, dry storage, laundry rooms, coolers, and freezers. This includes removing ice and debris from these storage areas, cleaning pallets and rubber mats, and organizing cleaning supply rooms and paper stockrooms weekly.

Regular maintenance of kitchen equipment and facility windows is also part of daily duties, such as cleaning ovens weekly by rotation and cleaning vents inside and outside every two weeks. The dishwasher/attendant is expected to work cooperatively with the entire food and beverage team and remains flexible by adjusting responsibilities as needed to cover additional assignments or support colleagues. This teamwork approach is fundamental to maintaining a seamless guest experience and supporting food service operations efficiently.
