Rooted in service and united by a strong sense of purpose, Aramark is committed not only to delivering quality services but also to fostering a positive workplace culture that champions inclusivity, growth, and mutual respect. The company upholds equal employment opportunities and is dedicated to maintaining an environment free from discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

The Food Service Manager position at Aramark is a vital management role responsible for overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role demands a professional who can develop and implement effective dining solutions that align with customer preferences and enhance their overall meal experience. The manager is tasked with leading the front-of-house team within dining operations, whether in cafeterias or residential dining facilities, often working hand in hand with the Food Service Director to plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities.

This role places a strong emphasis on leadership, requiring the manager to engage and develop team members through Aramark's coaching model, ensure high team performance, and recognize employee achievements. Managing daily briefings and fostering a safe, sanitary working environment are critical to operational success. The Food Service Manager is also entrusted with maintaining positive client relationships by identifying their needs, delivering on expectations, and effectively communicating operational progress.

Financial stewardship forms a core component of this role, encompassing the management and completion of profit and loss statements, achieving client and company financial goals, and implementing Aramark's processes and systems to improve margins through data analysis and education of team members. Efficiency and productivity are upheld by controlling costs, managing profits, and adhering to food and labor initiatives. The manager is expected to supervise the team in production, quality assurance, and control to ensure value delivery through efficient operations.

Compliance with safety, health, and labor regulations underpins all activities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees alike. The role may also involve physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, demanding a degree of physical fitness.
